Maybe a push pull pole. Attaches to back of one truck and front of one truck. Back truck helps push front truck through bad spot in road then front truck helps pull back truck through. Have heard old timers talk about using them.

Some of the guys around here with stright trucks with air brakes. Would make a hitch to pull the truck with instead of a chain or strap.

Thanks guys, I think IA Roy had the best idea. The rear part is hinged and is held in place by a leaf spring.
