About 6 years ago I put on a 26x26 addition, bedroom, bath, closet, sun room. Had to move the deck away from the back door. Neighbor lifted one side of the deck with his Massey, I lifted the other side with by blackhoe. We did a little dance and moved it out of the way. I had to remove the steps and do a little repair work, we broke one leg.
Start to finish, got the addition done in 91 days. Not bad for an old retired man. Sub-contracted out the framing work. Did the rest myself.
I thought of building a new deck. Instead I dug holes for legs and moved it back in place. Made new steps. Had to use a little physics with a 100# barbell, a 2 inch strap, tightened the strap with curling the back bucket. All the time I was thinking how much it would hurt if the strap broke, which it didn't. Mission accomplished. Worked out better than I thought. geo.
