Repurpose, reuse

Not too long ago Geo-TH,In. showed some of his ideas of recycling. Here are things I made last week from junk. I made three 1 leg tables from old bedposts with a rod threaded into the wood to keep them upright. The larger top was a spool end, also one from a stainless scrap. I just finished grilling 20 pounds of chicken, used the tables for a place to put things. Also including a pic of a flower pot on a tree stump.

Good idea but if you lived up this way they would all be gone by morning. People would not take them but the bears would. The good thing is they don't carry them very far in the woods but they may not be in very good shape when you find them

Why would a bear carry off a table? Around here bird feeders are there main target I have had to hunt the woods for more than one bird feeder that I didn't get put away in time. I have heard of them nocking over grills and tearing them apart because of the smell of food.

Maybe they don't like eating off the ground. You would have to ask them. They love plastic bird baths. What I think is someone had food on a table somewhere and they now associate it with any table. The neighbor thought it was neat to have them eating out of his bird bath until he found it back in the woods chewed up. Nothing will raise your heart beat faster than sitting in a chair watching TV and hear a noise out side turn to look and find yourself staring eye to eye at a bear on the other side of the glass 12 inches away.. They come on our deck regularly in the spring looking for food. First warm day in the spring and the feeders come inside for the year

I put my welder on a yard wagon along with an old table that I put a steel top and a small old vise to weld small stuff. I made up a 220 box with 220 & 120 plugs left over from several other electrical projects. It has a 40 FT supply cord that came from our silo un loader. It comes in handy to weld out in the yard.
On the air compressor I took the reel from an old hose caddy and use it for one of my air hoses and bolted to handle of air compressor.

D beatty ,
I mounted my generator on an old lawn cart too. Pull it behind the mule to power the hedge trimmer and chainsaw. Carry extension cords. Can power the well and refrig if needed. This generator is so easy to start, it's woman friendly, boss uses it too. geo

We cut down a tree before it fell down that was hollow. It was 57" across but the outer shell was only 8" thick at the most. We re-purposed it for use as a burn barrel. When I cut the grass after all the rains we have been getting, I use the lawn sweeper to pick up the grass after a day or two and put it in the stump a little at a time to burn. One of these days, the stump will be gone and I will have to mow that spot too.

We can keep bringing this topic up when new ideas come along. I like the idea of repurposed chicken, one of my favorite animals.

gtractorfan,
After having a bad case of Histoplasmosis from chicken poo. Eating a chicken is as close to chickens as I want to get. geo

No if you look close at picture the bales are in front of truck and keep us from hitting truck with car. I never weld in that area of shop.
