Lap top batteries have many ratings. First picture gives you an idea. A good lap top battery is at least 2.4 AH. The second picture cells are 2.6 AH from a lap top, only one cell went south. Good pack for a drill battery. NEVER plug in the charger, and use the lap top at the same time. That confuses the charger, and it will maintain a constant 4 volts, according to Battery University, NOT good for the battery! Think of your lap top battery as a deep cycle one. Charge it only when it goes down,

Simple solution..... Remove battery after it is fully charged. Use the laptop as you stated, the charger will keep it powered up! Use battery when power is out.......You would need to power up your internet or use a hot spot,
