Went to an auction with tools and tool boxes on the sale bill.

Handful of craftsman and no-name stuff and 3 really cheap craftsman boxes.

Oh well, ended up in Wyoming after stopping to look.

I went to an auction one time for a forage box. It should have been burned and the running gear sold separate. I asked the auctioneer why he didn't say on the sale bill that it was junk. He said "Would you have come if I did?".

Sounds like the stuff you went after got listed the same way.

My grandson and I drove 85 miles to an auction yesterday pulling my goose neck trailer after I had talked to the auctioneer and he told me that the equipment in the pictures were absolutely in the sale and useable. Got there and the 4 basket tedder I wanted to bid on was pulled and the rest of the equipment including 2 Deere hay bines (1 was disc bine)were junk with a lot of parts missing. 1066 Int. went for 3500 (buy back I think) but the owner said they have only had it for 3 months. I figured the only leaver on it was leave her alone LOL. Came home with an empty trailer. I would not have gone if he had been honest about the equipment. They only wanted to sell the junk they owned, the good equipment was in the sheds with signs to keep out. It was a good day to spend quality time with the grand son so all is good. Keith

Yeah, this guy had a lot of junk, too. There was a couple air compressors I could have turned into air bubbles, but they started at the front door and went east around the house. The compressors were on the west side of the door.

Should have gone to Cozad, but then I wouldn't have got to Wyoming. First time more than a mile off i80. Nice little trip day trip if I had left home a few hours earlier.

Went to a computer auction back in the 80s with my SIL. Bank shut down, suppost to be some real deals. Several very used Okidata printers sold for $50 $100 more than I had paid for a brand new one the week before, exact same model.

I would say to guys don't pay too much for boxes. My friend and I do swap meets and you can't give away a metal box for hand tools . It took me months to sell a nice machinist box . The plastic boxes are so cheap new that you cant sell metal boxes for more than ten bucks.

Yesterday I Got a nice 12ft. ladder that folded down to three feet to fit in my small eclipse car. Also a nice diamond tip wooden handle glass cutter in leather case. Staying away from the heat in the shade, I missed the full propane tank that went for four bucks. I was going to store it in the shed for emergency cooking.
