That's good! Take a close look at that cord end, doesn't look like anything I'm familiar with.

That looks like the Type 1 plug and socket used primarily in Australia, N.Z., New Guinea, China and Argentina.

When I was in China in 1993 I was shocked to see buildings going up with workers on bamboo staging over 20 stories high, I went back in 2005 and they were limited to 15 stories with bamboo in the major cities like Shanghia. They were all tied together with rope.

A really close look reveals a distinctly Asian appearance to the operator . This is most probably taken in China .
One real cause for concern is the neck cord for the ' Hoodie ' dangling over the disc spinning at 4500 rpm .

Nothing looks OSHA approved on this guy, from the bucket on his head, the shoes he is wearing and the baggy clothes, looks like he is a candidate for a Darwin Award! LOL

I'll bet no safety equipment is provided by the guy's employer, and he's being paid too little to buy his own. He's got the choice of keeping his mouth shut and doing what he's being paid to do, or taking a hike and letting the next one of the 900 guys waiting for his job take over. Desperate people are hilarious---so stupid, so careless.

What he has is better than just safety glasses. If you ever cut those grooves you'd know that those little pieces of concrete fly all over the place with a lot of speed and will get in your
hair, ears etc so that bucket will keep them off.

Haha I have seen this before and even done it . You double up two number 5 lenses in the gas googles to make a number ten. I had to do it because I couldn't fit my head up into the suspension of a Dragon Wagon to make the joint . Used bandanas for face protection.

good thinking...both
I've worn a full face motorcycle helmet when doing something like busting concrete/rocks with a sledgehammer. Bucket would work, but my multiple times broken nose would complain....

the other pic, I routinely hold my shirt neck in my teeth to stop the 'sunburn' chin/neck...and sparks down my shirt.(while grinding too)

Spend some time in a third-world country and you'll gain a new appreciation of our workplace safety laws. In Egypt, I saw workers operating jackhammers while wearing sandals. Workers commonly work barefoot so they don't wreck their only pair of shoes. Bear in mind that a decent pair of safety shoes costs a month's salary for a typical laborer, and no local employer will spend a cent for safety equipment. Not even 25 cents for a pair of disposable safety glasses

Make fun of that poor schmuck with a bucket on his head if you like. I think, "there but for the grace of God go I".
