Everything at edge of yard, road, trails in
gravel pit, tree branches under 10 ft will
get cut. It will take a few days. NO way
would I consider attempting this job with
chainsaw, hedge trimmer, too many miles.
Show close up pics. Need a name for my
trimmer. BIL calls it BRUSH BUSTER. George

Looks like a good idea however I don't know if I would frame it with wood. The county in my area uses something similar only it's on an arm like a cherry picker.

Stephen, I got my Idea from the county boys too. There have hydraulic motors. Way over my budget. I have $5 invested in mine, a v-belt. Everything I make is from recycled parts. When I make something from scratch, I usually use wood, because it easier to make changes. I can't remember when I first made this device. I think it was before I became a YT member. Each year I make changes, so again wood is the way to go. I think I'm finally done making changes, but really I see no need to make a metal frame. The wooden angle brace holding the deck is stronger than the metal, which is bent and cracked. Never have I broken the wood.

I'm hoping that some rednecks will pick up on things I make and make something out of the box, instead of going to a box store and buying things.

Everything I have, I keep inside, under roof, so I have to be able to dissemble it and put it on the shelf. Make it light enough I can lift it. So metal is out.
