A friend sent a picture of one similar to this so this is what I came up with. I don't know how well it will work.

Just as long as some %%*((%%$$* neighbor doesn't turn you in. New Jersey you can grill your burgers and stuff but Heaven help you if some leafs fall in there. Wink wink.

I made one using a hammermill screen, a large disc blade cut in two for the ends and cast iron umbrella stand for the base. Can't get a picture now, it's dark out. Not fancy like yours but it works.

It's starting to get light out.. got these (not so good) pictures of my hammermill screen grill. Soda can in front of large pot for size scale.

nice. I like looking at my scrap pile and trying to imagine what some discarded piece could become. I will admit, sometimes a beer helps my imagination.

I agree, it's fun to look thru the local scrapyard and find things to "repurpose". Your subject inspired me to clean up and paint the base of my "firepit".

That is neet. I like seeing horse shoes in projects. Here is the one I made this spring. Don't worry the center is open. Dad had the blocks down in the pasture so I used what was was available.

You need another wheel under it with about a 1/2" space between them to let air in and the additional wheel to catch the falling ash. The fire will burn much cleaner with an air source coming up through it. I do like the design and what it is made out of.

I use an old split rim truck rim for a fire ring. But I do have a good number of them laying around. We then just set a grill screen for an old grill on top.

you can see in the grass but it does have feet. we've had so much rain the grass keeps growing. it would need to be set on pavers or tiles too

No mo t-posts. last summer my son and I spent several fun days with a 90 lb jack hammer putting in wood posts and replacing the net wire with boards. using an auger works like this here. then you get the jack hammer.
