found 3 screw jacks

Our little town had clean up day and you just put the stuff you don't want in the ditch. I found 3 screw jacks I believe they are 2000 lbs jacks- I find they really come in handy. Like my port a power. Why do people throw away good stuff?

I have a toy truck that is valued at around $1500 that my dad picked up out of the Winfield KS city dump decades ago. He told me back then take care or if and some day it will be worth some $$ and he was right.
Yep now days to many people believe in throw it away and buy new or throw it away because I do not use it any more. Me I think it would be better to post it for free on Craig's list etc before throwing it away

I had a 2 1/2 ton Dayton floor jack given to me. A REAL jack, not a Chinese throw away!

A friend of mine saw it sitting on the curb for bulk trash pick up. He didn't need it but thought I would.

There was NOTHING wrong with it! That was 10 years ago, still use it regularly!

I have an old screw jack and scissor jack in the pile of tools I haven't used in decades.

There was one of those old Jacks laying in a
shed at a property I bought.
I brought it home, sandblasted and painted
it and made a post for it that goes from the
half wall to the ceiling.
It doesn't bear any weight. Just an
ornament.

I picked up a few at yard sales long ago. They come in handy. I like the short ones I can get in places a hyd. one will not go into.
