What to do with David Brown

I have a 1971 DB 1200 Selectamatic. Tractor runs great and has few issues. Starts easy with no either. Only major problem is steering cylinder rod is slightly bent and rod seal leaks. I no longer have a use for it and would like to sell or trade for tractor related stuff. I figured you guys would be honest with me about what to do or what it's worth.

If it runs good, looks decent and has good rubber then whats the problem? Let the buyer know about the seal, or fix it yourself, and set a price. That would be at least a $5-7K tractor here in good shape.

The market around here (middle Georgia) seems just right to be wrong. It's not old enough for the collectors, it's not new enough for the farmers and it's too big for the weekenders. I also would not be comfortable transporting it a long distance. If 5k is a good low end price I would be willing to let someone get for less than that but they would need to come get it.

They don't bring much in some areas at an auction a couple months ago I bought a David Brown 990 newer model for $550,it has good tires and really all it needs is a seal
kit in the injection pump and I did have to buy a new lift pump($35) for it.There has been a 1200 for sale never me for 5 years near me they're asking $3500 and its still there.

Not a surprise on the auction price. Looks like me and the 1200 are going to grow older together. I've got an eight foot disk harrow that will stay attached and if nothing else I can plow a garden spot for someone once in a while.

(quoted from post at 08:50:42 06/02/16) I may just try it and see. Any advice on a good farm related website that's easy to post on??

On Facebook I have a few local swap shops I follow just to keep up with current prices and whats moving . There are also a couple local farm related pages I follow . At least when someone makes a post asking a question , I can look at there homepage and get a little info about them .
