adjustable spanner wrench

I always made up a homemade spanner wrench when needed. Looking thru OTC catalog, they have and adjustable one with two pins and a square hole in it. You put a 3/4 inch breaker bar to turn it. Has anybody used one of these with any kind of success? Or, does anybody have another suggestion?

Yes , that is a great tool . It was issued to me when I hired on at a Case dealer. The pins are a different size in each side....

OTC 1266 is one of the spanner wrenches I have.

Yup , JD's pic shows the one I referred to. Bullet proof , if the gland could unscrew , that tool would do it !!

Got one on my service truck and have used it a lot of times over the years. They are stout as I have put my 3/4 Swench on it several times. If you can hold the pins into the mating holes on the part, the Swench can give it a 750 ftlb hammer to break it loose. I wouldn't go without mine.
