What type of anvil do I have?

Has anyone ever seen a 3 pointed Anvil? I have one and have had it for years. It came out of US Steel Works and was going to be scrapped so I brought it home. It is huge and years ago we mounted it to an outdoor steel worktable so you could swivel it around. Never have used it.

It is 3 pointed in the shape of a "T" horizontally and each point is a different size and length. The points are also shaped as a "half circle" with the flat side on the bottom.

We have talked about it to everyone for years and have never seen or heard of one like it. I will try to get some pictures later if I remember.

Seriously, Anvilfire.com is a great website. A quick search there did not find any 3 horns, but a more thorough search might yield results, or a way to contact them. I think they would like to see it as much as the people on this site.

Just a funny thought. Some English anvils have three legs on one side. They would be rounded on the side and flat on the top/bottom. Could you have it upside down???

I'm just gonna have to get a picture or two for Yall.

I would say it's about 1 1/2 feet tall, 5 feet long in one direction across 2 points, Then about 3 feet long in the leg of the "T" ......if that makes sense.

I agree with the others, we need pictures. I've seen Double Horned Anvils where one horn is about half the size of the other horn with NO
Hardy or Pritchell Holes; but I've never even heard of a Tripple Horned Anvil much less seen one.

I'll get tall a picture In a couple days when I get home.
