Hello,

Those words should not always mean just that. Here is two of my roses. Both blooming. Guess which one is the oldest, the faster bloomer, and the one with the most blooms?

That has to be the biggest rose I've seen, with the exception of wild roses that will climb up a tree. Very nice rose. Do you feed them miracle grow?

Hello Geo-TH,In,

Since I cut it back a couple of years ago, it has not grown to the original size. It burned a big area of the Alberta spruce next to it. I would cut 200 to 300 spent roses at the time then. They are very fragrant. It blooms all summer until the first freeze. It is 12 years old. Miracle grow and well water is what it gets,

Guido,
I noticed roses like wet roots. So we plant them next to a rain down spout so I don't have to water them. I should fertilize mine, but don't. One in the front of the house climbed all the way to the rain gutter. We cut it back and now the new growth has tons of blooms.

A rose was planted too close to a house I bought. I had to dig it up and move it a few feet away form house. That's when I discovered roses like wet roots. I didn't have a backhoe at the time. I dug, dug, and gave up after getting about 4 feet down. I broke off roots digging. Thought I may have done serious damage. The orginal rose is alive and well. I planted the pieces of roots. They too are alive and well. That was back in 1998.

Do you think roses are bullet proof?

Hello george,

No rose is bullet proof, tbe big one sits low on the flower bed. It naturally collects water. It does get watered, but not religiously. Hardy on its own and in a good spot I guess,
