MILLER 2E WELDER

I have a miller 2E 1980 model welder/generator a friend had, that someone gave to him anyway I finely have it running and seams to do ok. Now the question is when welding should it idle down some between the time it takes to change rods or move to another part, this one stays wide open all the time.

2E does not have the idle down feature, normally. Mine does not.

Don't forget 120 volt is at a dead idle of 1850 or so. Throttle lever must be in idle position to trip switch.
