Update on leaking irrigation valve

Yesterday I took a screwdriver and dug the caked mud off the top of the control valve. Surprise! It has no screws on the top like most valves - and no jar lid either! The valve only leaked when the irrigation turned on.

This morning the system turned on; I went out to see if I could see the source of the leak. However, there was no leak this morning. There must have been some dirt in the diaphragm that moved on when I was bumping it with the screwdriver. Now I'll have to check the nozzles to make sure that the dirt didn't plug one of them. I don't know how the lines were laid out so don't know which nozzle is first in line.
