Cheap fix to gas cans.

I used that product many years ago but don't remember what I used it on. Let us know how it works out.

If it works like advertised , I'll try to fix pin hole leak in Jubilee axle. Keep you posted.

News flash, read on the can, the blue can is VP racing fuel. My tractors can go faster on racing fuel. So why do you think all fuels have to be in red cans?

Seal-All has been around for years. I had a 1969 Ford car and the fuel tank rust out under the straps. I removed the tank and clean the tank up the best I could. I was able to buy the Seal-All product in a bigger tube. I applied it to the gas tank. I then took steel screen wire and pressed it into the Seal all. I was bridging holes 1-2 inches across. I would let it set up and then reapply another layer across the screen. I painted the tank and reinstalled it. I drove the car for another 4-5 years without any issues. I sold the car to a fellow and he drove it for many years and I never did hear of the product failing.

The only concern I would have about your repair is that the plastic bottle will get brittle in a short period of time being around gasoline. I have used the Power-Aid bottles as funnels and they only last about six months.

(quoted from post at 15:11:55 05/16/16) I used that to on an Olds gas tank that had rust pinholes just above the seam. I put it on when it was wet with gas and it held for years.

Do you remember what year that Olds was?
I worked the production line from '65 to '68 building Olds gas tanks.

My concern too. I think the bottle is short term. Do you have a better cheap solution? Now I have a good glue to work with.

Google it! It makes sense to me!

Portable fuel containers shall be color coded for specific fuels:
a) Gasoline ? red;
b) Diesel ? yellow; and
c) Kerosene ? blue.
