My Le Sueur MN diamond in the rough find

I have been wanting one of these for quite a while, but could never justify the $400-$1000 price tag. Now I need to find an engine for it, but for $20, I think I did ok. If you can, go to this event. It was very large and had a lot to offer. Sorry I missed the gathering at the fire hall, I was too late.

Is there some sort of clutch on the pump that kicks out when pressure is reached then kicks in at low press, or is it at the motor. just curious.

Most of those just use a dump valve to bleed off the excess, the higher priced ones also have an idle down when max pressure is used. I've never seen one that has a clutch to stop it.

Reviews on the small engines that Harbor Freight sells are pretty good. Wish that they would put electric start on the smaller engines also.

I bought new compressors for ADOT's field service trucks and specified Honda engines; that made the field service guys happy.

Nice find but take a look at the tag and determine how old the tanks are. They rust from the inside, and can become dangerous. Anything over 20 years is running up against the clock. Now I know a lot of people will chine in and talk about how there tank is 40 years old etc. Just saying after a certain age look out.

Dalex, the brand is a "Rol-Air" Jon F is right, it has a "pop" valve. Found a 5hp Honda on CL last night. With any luck, I will have this operational by the end of the week. Thanks
