It's 4 feet tall. Easily assembled with deck screws. 1 inch pipe legs slide in holes. Works for me. Easily stored.

I was expecting a picture of your terimite with a pallet on the front forks ! LOL. Would of worked for me.

Hmmm--now you've got me thinking! Looking at making a portable shooting bench I can easily knock down and put in the back of the truck for when I go to our sandpit or other spots to sight in a gun. Plenty of online plans available, but I do have a bunch of 1.5" pipe and I might just cobble something out of that. Thanks for posting--always nice to see someone else's ideas.

Sand bags on the hood work nice. Just remember to get it up high enough to account for the curve in the hood.

Well, for a variety of reasons I don't want to do that. Know a guy who blew out his windshield when his .338 Win. mag with a muzzle brake went off. Know a few more with burnt paint, chipped hoods, or other damage from doing that. Also, I've got a 1-ton GM with fairly large tires (I wouldn't have bought them but they were on the truck when I got it so they're staying until they need replacement) and I have several people I shoot with who are too ummmm....let's just say "vertically challenged" to shoot over it. I've done it in a pinch, usually for long-range woodchuck elimination, but it's not my favorite method, which is why I want to make a bench.

Have used Terramite to hold heavy metal when I cut it out with band saw.

Also used it when I was making a fence. Terramite was being used to remove dirt.

I forgot to mention, if you use four 2x4 on top. It works great for ripping plywood using a saw guide and circular saw.
