Clutch

I was moving some dirt with my h and the clutch quit working. It hadn't been getting soft or spongy just quit. I can put it into gear by "jamming" it but does not allow me to disengage. What can I look for?

abeetsch,If it happened while in use,and not from setting up.It sounds like maybe a piece of the clutch facing has came loose and stacked up,not allowing the clutch to release.Clutch/pressure plate replacement,pilot and throw out bearings are in order.

Can be as Den said or the linkage has broken some place or the fingers on the pressure plate have broken or the throw out bearing has come apart. You maybe able to pull the starter off and use a flashlight to have a look see inside as to what is happening and if you have some one to help have them push the pedal down as you look

Can't this be worked on from below (without splitting the tractor) on an 'H'? Maybe by removing the belly pump?
