I was watching Tuesday nights episode and got to thinking. Of all the reality shows on now, especially the competition one, this show has the most respectful hosts and contestants. The four on Tuesday seemed to respect each other, no gimmicks or egos on their shoulders. A great show.

Give it time. It'll go down hill. They all need drama to keep going. At least that's what the producers think.

Its funny that on the Alaska reality show the first year that they are going out to hunt meat for the winter. He says that he doesn't know what he will do if he doesn't shoot something. Four seasons in he says the same thing. Well with all the bucks he got from Smithsonian network over the last three seasons he can now have sirloin flown in. Brain dead shows!

The ones that get me are the ones who say they've been there for 30 years, but if they don't scrounge through their junk and come up with something to build their first ever smokehouse, they won't survive the winter.

Hard to mouth off to the judges when you just handed them a big ol knife!

I do like to watch that show on occasion. May not be interesting to many people, but it is to many of us that have beat on iron.

I find it interesting that they always showcase the hardening process, but i have never seen anyone temper their work.

That's why I'm currently watching re-runs of Night Court. Kinda silly, but at least they didn't expect you to believe it and pattern your life after it.

Which one? There's like 10 different shows based in Alaska. Last Frontier is likely about as real as it gets. They were all rich before the show started. They live less than 10 miles from Homer, Alaska. If they really needed food, it ain't far away.
