I have a 265RX clearing saw/brush cutter I bought new 2004/5. A screw broke on the coil and fell into the
flywheel, both need replaced. I have been all over the internet and cannot find the parts. Any ideas. My
local dealer/repair person says he cannot find anything locally.

I found that parts on my Polan chainsaw were interchangable with some other bands, some even had same part numbers. Might see if you can find similar machine with different label. Yor parts guy needs to work a little harder.

Screw should be a common item. Flywheel does show to be obsolete. But a little searching should find it.

Wouldn't be surprised if some chainsaw parts would fit. Husky owns 5 different brands.

Have you ever looked on ebay for a no running machine for a parts machine ?

It seems that flywheel was used on several models over quite a few years.
No guarantee info is accurate.

Fits: L65, 77, 165R, 165RX, 265RX, 285CD, 298, 480, 480CD, 480K.

Husqvarna Genuine Part. Flywheel Assembly. Part no's 501 83 20-01, 501 68 10-01.

( This is the complete assembly with starter pawls 501 67 32-01, 501 67 95-01, springs 501 67 35-01 and screws attached. )

For Husqvarna Chainsaw Models:

L65 ( Can be used on this model as long as armature coil plate 501 83 19-01 and screw 501 69 58-01 are used in conjuction with it ),
77 ( Years 1981 to the end of production ),
285CD ( Can be used on this model as long as armature coil plate 501 83 19-01 is used in conjunction with it ),
298 (All Serials),
480 ( All Serials),
480CD ( Years 1979 to the end of production ).

For Husqvarna Strimmer / Brush Cutter / Clearing Saw Models:

165R ( Years 1980 to the end of production ),
165RX (All Serials),
265RX ( Years 1992 to 2005 only ).

For Husqvarna Disc Cuttter / Cut Off Saw Models:

480K ( All Serials).

found this one in Maine, on eBay using Searchtempest may have enough pieces to make yours all better. better to ask the seller, of course.

i dealer for husqvarna products would you like some help, would be glad to try if you have model off of product, where are you have a 40ft container full of used dixon husqvarna products mostly mower stuff though
