Molykote 111

I'm assembling a Rotax snowmobile engine and the manual calls for this type of grease in certain areas. What can I substitute in place of it? Is Molykote 111 just a marine grade grease? Having a hard time finding it locally.

It appears to be a silicone based grease.

I went to the distributor search for my area, looks like it can be found at bearing and industrial supplies. You can go to the Dow Corning web site, search for Molykote 111 distributors to find a specific dealer in your area.

Years ago I had a big container of Molykote. Used it on anything that needed lubrication on a snowmobile. It must be out in the barn somewhere along with five snowmobiles, a Skiboose and a Cariall, all 1970's vintage, that I just got too old to use anymore.
