I got a deal on some Texaco spark plugs. I collect them to display . But I got so many Texaco plugs I wanted to possibly use some of them . Searching the web leads to no cross reference charts for Texaco plugs. So does anyone have a Cross reference chart from any brand that includes Texaco spark plugs? Any Champion or AC books I have do not include them.

anything with Harley-Davidson is worth something to a collector, buddy of mine sold an old Harley bicycle crank/pedals for $300 a while back.

Trivia on spark plugs.

Did ya'll know that AC and Champion spark plugs were named for the same man? Around 1908, when the automotive business was in its infancy, a man named Albert Champion began making spark plugs and branded them "AC" for his initials. After his company had grown, he sold it to Buick. (Which is why to this day, GM uses AC spark plugs).

Mr. Champion then started another company making spark plugs and branded them "Champion" after his last name.

I know some of ya'll have been laying awake nights wondering about that.

"Big Daddy" Don Garlits used to race at St. Louis International. After each run he would do the tear down. They always put in fresh plugs.Sold the used ones for $5.00 a piece. I got his autograph but never bought a spark plug.

If it is like the early style plug on the left it is worth money new or used. If it is like the next two they still make them so if they are new they are worth money . Used not worth money. H-D plugs are Champions with Harley numbers.

Goose , you have it backwards . He was Champion first then became AC. { I collect Champion so I studied this] He was a well known winning bicycle racer in France . In 1903 he broke his leg racing a Packard race car. His femur was shortened by 2 inches . He went back to France and made a bike with one crank shorter than the other and won more races. Both companies are still in business today Champion [ Federal-Mogul and AC Delco GM ]. He also raced motorcycles early on.

Advertise them in a spark plug collectors forum, will trade plug for plug of new plugs
for your tractors.
This way other collectors get a chance at collectible plugs.
Just a thought.

Hey I have one in the box that is EDISON as in the guy from Menlow park. Always do your research and look around. Plugs are very very many types and all can be of value to someone. Cruse fleabay first and go from there.
