Is a 6 ft rake a tool? OLD?

I sure hope a rake is a too. . After the flood waters in gravel pit it always leaves me a mess. It was fun cleaning up the mess with the 6 ft rake. Posted this hoping it may help Old clean up his mess too.

On the way to the gravel pit, I dropped the rake and leveled out a few tall mole hills. Yard looks worse than it is. After a rain all the dirt will wash off the grass.

i like that idea. i have a 7ft landscape rake with a 3pt mount, i may rig a quick hitch up and use it on my skidder. be way quicker than behind a tractor.

My 3 pt on jubilee has no down force, the front loader does. I like it in front. Works on gravel, dirt, moving trash flood made. Mine has a chain in back so it can float in yard.

Would be nice to have a rock rake but I do not and I also do not have a skid steer or such. Clean up is going to be a real pain and a lot of it will have to wait for warmer drier weather.

Old, I got my rake new from Rural King. Best $300 I spent. Bought it when they had 10% off everything. Don't you have a ford with a front loader? Had a tree taken down. I lost the pic that showed pushing the sticks in a pile, but I do have a pic showing the tractor picking up the pile. I loaded them in dump trailer and hauled to fire pit.

Ya i have an 841 with a heavy duty loader and a Sherman combo transmission. Put out 2 round bales of hay today for the horses. Calling for 3-5 inch of snow tomorrow.

We use one of those in the fields after the river floods to clean up the drifts so we can burn them.

It came to mind that a psychiatrist would ask: "What do you think it is?"

Guess when it's being used, it's a tool. When it's just sitting somewhere in your way, it's a piece of equipment.

If you have tractor with loader and need down pressure to rake with try one of these:

http://www.ratchetrake.com/

The guy that came down with the last year has one on his Kubota and that ratchet rake is worth the $300 he paid for it. We have used that thing to tear out brush, clear tall grass down to dirt, grabs onto and pull dead branches our of trees and other stuff. Once you get it raked into a pile easy to remove then use the loader bucket to haul off pile.

Just a thought.
