oversized light truck tire needs tube...

All,

I need some learning on inner tubes. What I have is a 38.5 inch tall tire, on a 15 inch rim on a half ton truck. I think the rims are about 10 inches wide.

After some searching, I thought I saw some tubes that would work, but the stems seems to be located in the center of the tube, which probably will not fit a truck rim.

This is in offroad vehicle that rarely sees speeds greater than 30 mph.

Thanks in advance,

D.

You can tube it but it won't last because of the internal construction of the tire but if you feel inclined to try a 1200 16 would probably stretch far enough just make sure its a radial tube and it has a tr13 valve stem.

Also ag tubes for bias ply which are all they carry in places like farm and fleet have centered stems. Radial tubes are offset.

Any good tire place will have a tube or can get you a tube you need. If it is a radial tire you will want to get a tube made for them or they will not last long. Years ago I had a almost new 30-10:50-15 that got a side wall cut in it and I put a patch on the inside of the tire and a tube and ran it till it was about gone

11L15 tube would probably work... but I try my very best to avoid using tubes in anything that size other than skid loader tires. If the wheel is sound, put it on tubeless.

Dennis you need to go to a local tire shop not Walmart or 1 of those other big box stores to buy a tube. I used to stock them for the guys running the mud pits. It might take them a while to locate 1. That did not used to be a common size.
