have been working on replacing the bathtub with a shower stall. almost done but I cannot get the shower pipe
to stop leaking inside the wall. originally used teflon tape and had a leak. got oatley great white pipe
joint compound and tried it without success. the wall side is cpvc and the shower pipe is metal, both new.
part of the trouble is if you tighten the pipe it points in the wrong direction and the shower head points to
the left, I need about quarter of a turn to tighten it. have new sheet rock and new shower panel, glued
together. any help is appreciated. am I going to hire a plumber? thanks is advance!
