Cd player in a vehicle.

Look on Youtube, search the specific model, there may be some info especially if it's a common problem.

I was asked to get one unjammed on a Lexus once. They never brought it by. Youtube said it would have to be disassembled. Then it recommended not playing home made copied CD's. For whatever reason they were prone to jamming.

I've had a couple do it. Don't even think about messing with it now unless you are taking a four hour trip. If you are, run the radio the whole time so it gets good and warm. Be prepared when you try the button - it may only come out an inch and then go back in. Grab it and hold onto it with both hands and a foot. I have literally used BBQ tongs before.

I've also had some that I left alone until hot summer. Then get in and try it. Don't turn on the key and do it. Start the car so full voltage gets to it. I find that usually it is because of stiff grease. Something moved slow and didn't get out of the way of some other gizmo. Then she jammed.

Hello J. Schreiber,

If the player has a hard reject built in, the following may work. With the engine off push and hold the power and eject buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds. Try the same method with th engine running. You can use an old or bad cd . Inserted in the slot and try to get it above the stuck cd, then push eject.

Guido.

Try disconnecting the battery for a bit, then reconnect, and try after restarting. Had one on a vehicle we used to own that stuck, and that worked, and was able to eject after. We were getting ready to trade, so never put another cd in it afterward, so no idea how it works now.

I had that happen in something, (forget what), and I rapped on the dash a few times by the CD player. It popped right out. gm
