Sandblaster cleanout modification

If your sandblaster clogs you have to disassemble both hoses and unscrew the T fitting ,but, if you replace the T with a cross you can place a pipe plug in it and easily remove the plug to unclog it. A welding rod poked up into the hole will clear it . Now it's much easier to remove a pipe plug.

Not to hijack the thread, but where is a good place to find the hose for a sandblaster? Mine is slowly getting shorter and shorter as the hose wears through at the t-fitting. Anybody use hydraulic hose for this?
Thanks
Frank

don't want to get too smart but one reason it is plugging is you do not have a manifold on your blaster. Good idea but a manifold looks like a Looooong sort of a Y shaped fitting. The sand comes in from the top but flows sideways a little ways as the air sucks it along. Kinda like an entrants ramp on the parkway. Something close.....Great Eastern has a pressure washer sand gun listed. DWSDBTK is the model. Here is a picture of the blender. You would need to check a couple of sandblaster company part lists. You need one for a SAND blaster. You get the idea. Another thing is you are getting a lot of water in the lines from you air compressor. You get a nice big BLORP of wet sand? That blender will help a lot, gives the air flow a chance to pick up the sand.

That looks kinda like the blazer I have. Mine came with a cross from the factory. Doesn't help much to get the dead mice out...

You know I never could grasp the concept of a water powered sandblaster ? Clean metal with water on it equals instant rust ?
