great for screws and nails ,. I got them last winter and seperated a lot of mixed up stuff. It sure came in handy. Although they did work great,, as a lot of the Harbor Frieght stuff,,you cant be rough on them. They probably wouldnt last long if someone who didnt pay for them used them,,,,,lol

You said, "They probably wouldnt last long if someone who didnt pay for them used them,,,,,lol". I find that people either take care of things (tools, equipment, personal possessions) or they don't. Whether the thing belongs to them or not makes some difference, but not necessarily a lot. I treat a borrowed tool or a rented one as if it were my own, which is to say, with care. I've seen many people who treat everything as if it's disposable---no understanding that many things can give years of service, and not much interest in that idea, either.

Larry, what is the tool hanging on the wall in the center of both photos. It has a handle that is offset
from the blade by two 90 degree bends. I have one, I think, but I'm not sure what it is used for. Someone
said it was used to repair slate/tile roofs by sliding underneath the tile and pulling nails. ?????

That is exactly what the tool is for.The tool is strong enough so that you can hammer on the handle and draw nails out. Here in England, where most house roofs are of slate or concrete tiles, every builder will have one. I have the one from my FIL, claimed it when he passed on and his workshop was being cleared out.
