need help from anyone that has experience with one of these chairs.. problem...the charge light will only show one charge strip even after an overnight connection to the charger.. just the one green strip on the indicator.. after running/ using the chair a short time. the indicator light goes off... it is posible that the batteries may not be accepting a full charge, removing the battery and checking it it seems to be fully charged..how many volts should it show disconnected from the chair I would guess 12 v. or is the problem in the indicator light.. thanks PS I guess you can tell, I am not a electric expert

Hello john-mi

A 12 Volt battery will have 12.6 volts at 85 degrees F* when fully charged.

Guido.

How old are the batteries? Has the chair been sitting for a while without having the batteries charged? If you need new batteries they are often available on-line or at a local "battery store" for about half the price the chair dealer wants for them.

Hello cb,

How many Volts does the battery have when it comes off charge? It should be at least last 12.6V at room temperature,

Guido.

thanks for the replies I will find a battery place and get it checked.. if if it reads 12

thanks for the replies, if the battery shows a full charge, then what is wrong with the charge indicator

I agree. So don't wait too long. The recliner chairs are now pretty expensive. Most times, they only bring a few cents at the public auctions. REALLY HEAVY stuff.

Don't overlook the battery terminals being loose or slightly corroded. Also if it has plug in connectors on the battery harness they are bad to get worn and not make a good connection. They will show voltage, but it will drop when carrying a load.

cb,
The batteries are the first thing to go. They use 2 12v in series. Replace both. Your indicator lights are telling you they won't come up to full charge. Just google the number on the battery. They are much cheaper on line than most local stores.

thanks for all the response.. I will continue to try your suggestions.. have a great sunday, god bless all
