I've got a Milwaukee paint sprayer that I use to paint my finces and out buildings, It's on wheels and has a hose that you stick in a 5 gallon bucket. Anyway, normally after it primes, the motor shuts off. Once I start spraying the motor runs to build pressure and then stops, after I start spraying it repeats this cycle.
When I went to use it yesterday, it primed like it should but the motor never stopped and the pressure at the nozzle was not as great as it normally is. I removed the intake hose and "exhaust" hose (where the paint returns to the bucket during the prime cycle), cleaned them and made sure the ball at the paint intake was free, put everyting back to gether and no improvement. There is a plunger on the intake that will free up the intake ball and it works normally. The filter (screen) at the paint bucket end of the intake is clean and unclogged.
Any ideas? I thought maybe the paint was too thick but even when I put the snout in a bucket of water to clean up, the sprayer didn't cycle like it should (I also thinned the paint but that didn't help).
Thanks in advance for any help you guys can offer.
