Husqvarna chain saw wont run ?

I have a Husqvarna 55 rancher chain saw that I cant get to run.it blows gas back through the carb and wont even run if you put gas directly into cylinder even.anyone have any ideas what could be wrong with it

Kevin,Remove the muffler and clean the screen out,A plugged muffler will cause it not to run good and spit gas back out of the carburetor.

What I was going to say. Good call!

What is the compression? Should be 130-150 psi.
You did confirm that the module is making a spark?
Did you try a new sparkplug?
Yes, the muffler could be a problem. Wouldn't hurt to check.
Also, the tubes between the cylinder and carburetor bulkhead tend to deteriorate.
Check your fuel line, they tend to crack between the tank and where it goes in the hole in the crankcase.
since you say it won't fire even with fuel in the cylinder, roll the piston up on TDC and see if the magnet on the flywheel is just passing the module to check timing.
