Where do you buy your tire repair supplies from? I need a better price than I can get for patches etc. from my auto parts store. Thanks guys!

I don't know what you are paying , but Myers Tire Supply has a reasonable priced house brand . They are in most large cities . I know the Rema-TipTop branded patches are real pricey...

I get most of mine from O'Reilly's but once in a while I also buy them at Orscheln's. I buy them by the box full

Myers will also sell mail order, but you have to establish an account. Free shipping over $75 or something like that but they have a large variety of good products, like tire lubricant.

Hi
I Don't mind paying for good patches I hate tire repairs with a passion. A guy saves a buck and gets $60 of aggravation when the patch is junk and you get another flat when the patch fails. Been there done that, Did I mention I hate repairing tires!!!!!!. I always go to the local tire shop and buy what they use in trade packs. The guy just called me today to say he's got new stock in for me to go pick up. I know they won't use junk. I think this guy is using those black patches with the orange edges. I remember dad using those 35 years ago and he figures 50 years they been making them. The tire guy said the same thing. Hopefully thats what he got for me, He said in packs the price is good. Makes a change from the I hope your sat down before I tell you the price return call. L.O.L.

I just grab a large pack from Orscheln. The issue isn't the patch. It's that just as soon as I patch a tire it is a magnet for running over something else. The tube in a tire on my mixer grinder has something like 17 patches on it. It isn't a cheap Chinese tube, though.

Find your local Tech tire repair guy. They have the best quality tire repair products I have used.

The near by "buy it all there" place (TSC, fleet.......) What ever they have on the shelf(never did look at brand) Rarely have problem. I do the soap water trick every time I when pull the tube and after patch (before reinstall), might find more holes.

Small ones I buy from NAPA. Larger ones for farm/truck tires I buy at the heavy truck parts supplier. I don't have any patience for cheap no good patches. What I buy are not exactly cheap but for all I use it's not a big expenditure.

If you are having a patch problem it is usually because the patches are old. Do you have an old established farm tire repair shop near you, if you do see if they will sell you a few or a box, Are you patching tubes or tires? If you are setting the glue on fire DO NOT DO THAT it leaves an ash on the tube or tire and a patch WILL NOT stick as well. I have seen many tires and tubes ruined because of that. What are you using to buff the tire or tube? If you are using that phoney little scratcher that comes with a cheep bunch of patches, toss it in the garbage and get yourself a air operated buffer with a dedicated patch buffing wheel. On top of this make sure you have several million dollars in insurance coverage. There is a good chance you will need it.
