Schedule 80 1 PVC dimension-bell end

Can anyone tell me the OD of the bell end for schedule 80 PVC pipe? I found a dimension of 1.315" for the "pipe" but didn't see a dimension for the big end.

google says wall thickness is .179 so i'd guess .179x2+1.315=1.673

A bell end is a small glue on fitting to enter a box.. Do you mean the diameter where the pipe flairs out to join to the next section? The 1.315 od [ small end] would be the inside diameter of the flaired out section.

I would think that just a tad big. They form the bell by heating and expanding the pipe. There would be a slight loss in wall thickness due to the expansion stretching the pipe. I'm not enough of an engineer to tell you how much though. Would not be a heck of a lot...

1 5/8" by my tapemeasure. Maybe a hair smaller.
