Reverse osmosis water output dropped off, so I did the maintenance work yesterday, per owner's manual. Shut off water supply, opened RO faucet and put air into bladder side of storage tank to push the remaining water out of the tank. When the tank was as nearly empty as I could get it, I put in a new valve core and inflated the bladder side of the storage tank to 7 psi. Now we have a full stream of RO water. System is 5 years old, hopefully we're set for another 5 years. The town water tastes bad so RO is necessary and the more we use it, the better it works. RO is connected to the fridge so the ice cubes taste good too. Plus the low pressure from the RO is less likely to cause a leak in the fridge. We have our own "bottled water" right at the sink.
Had to make a trip to the store for a new large watch battery for my 12-15 year-old digital air pressure gauge that can accurately measure 7 psi.
