is there anything wrong with putting brake fluid on the connections of old corroded jumper cables ?,, why does this work ?, found a lost set in the back of the truck in front of fuel tank ,,couldn't get nuthin thru them due to rust ,, poured a tablespoon of brake fluid on each clamp connection and left them in the hot sun all day ,, they worked great at the end of day../

Brake fluid and ATF is one of many recipes for freeing up a stuck engine. I never did have any luck with it, but others have. Brake fluid will also remove paint, so be careful.

Dad always said brake fluid was a great rust breaker. We put new blades on our Kewanee disc and the back blades would not touch the ground, and the crank adjuster was rusted up solid. I reminded Dad about brake fluid,he dropped me of at church, and picked me up one hour later, and the crank had freed up.
