Three prong picker-upper?

Does anyone know if they are sold? Tired of the good exercise picking up windfalls so I don't have to mow them. Grandchild too young for it, but he tries. Grandma gets testy about us rewarding ourselves with sweets. Leo

I was thinking of a pickup reach-n-grabit something like the one I bought from Ace Hardware for $20 to keep with me on the lawn tractor to reach for small tree branches laying on the ground. But it would not work for walking around picking up fallen apples--it would need three fingers instead of two. Wouldn't have bend over or crawl around on the ground. I do have a big, heavy silage fork I use with wood chips, but still takes stooping over to slide the big fork along the ground. Apples are really plentiful this year, so maybe that fork would be useful. I didn't want to spear them, although with our schedule, we probably will just compost them instead of cutting and processing them as we used to do.IaLeo

I have a 2 prong unit that I think I bought at Harbor Freight that will pick up things like apples. It has a rubber cup on each prong and no problem picking up anything round. The prongs are springs tho so it does not like heavy items but an apple should not be that heavy.
