Update on the cracked stock

Glued it with Titebond III and clamped it tight. I had a large syringe type thing that I could push glue into many of the cracks. Wiped some excess off before I clamped it. Let it sit for a day and took everything off today. It's holding but has yet to be fired. I will try that once I'm back from Alaska and have some spare time. It was to narrow to put any dials in. And in my first pictures I was bending it to show the cracks. It naturally was holding its shape. I hope it works. Glad someone posted about the replacement stock. That's at least an option all be it and expensive one.

Sorry forgot the pics.

Looks good. I don't see the repairs. Did you say, that was a 222 Savage? If so, I don't think the recoil will cause the stock any problems.

Is that a model 340 Savage? I have one in .222 Rem, and one in .22 Hornet. Love them both. They may be old, but they shoot like new.
