Spot weld cutters

I just looked on Ebay , and I see there are two types , a 3 point drill and a ring or holesaw style . which one should I buy for 1/16 sheet metal ? I only need to cut about 8 welds . Is one style faster than the other ?

I second the hole saw type. Fast and simple. Helps if you nick the center of the weld with a sharp center punch first. If you order one, order a few extra bits or blades, whatever you call them. They're replaceable.

Well , I went to Harbor Freight and picked up a couple of the hole saw type . They might work without a pilot hole , but I went ahead and drilled an 1/8 pilot anyway and got pretty good results . The circular blade has cutting edges on both ends , so you can unscrew it and use the other edge . I was happy with their performance....
