Non adjustable carb plugs on two cycle?

Walbro carb on a Poulan pole saw/weedeater has plugs in the high and low screw passages. Are the plugs removeable to make them adjustable?

My problem may be caused by pump diaphragm needing replaced, but maybe not. Would only run with choke almost all the way on.

Did get a nice carb repair kit on line. Has lots of extra parts for other versions of carb.

Mine didn't have plugs but instead had very small spline screws. I believe the proper tool for them was a red crimp type wire butt splice...

Most (all?) are removable.

You will probably also need the correct adjustment tool to fit the screws. These are becoming increasingly difficult to find.

Thank the federales.

I have a cub cadet trimmer/pole saw, it never ran right with factory carb adjustment. I took a Dremel tool with a cut-off wheel and cut away the casting from around the adjustment screws, then cut a slot in the screws for a common screwdriver. Adjusted it several years ago and it's still running great.

THANKS, the dremel idea worked well for cutting the casting and slotting the screws.

Now to see if it will run again.
