more 2 cycle ???

john deere T105S weed eater. runs out o.k. to about half throttle and when I try to open it up , it just falls on its face. they don't make em any more, checked all I can check. thinkin it may be the carb. can you buy a carb? and where? throw it away and buy a stihl? any one got any suggestions?

Have you tried cleaning the carb. Also check the exhaust screen. Make sure it is clear.Parts are still out there.

Classic symptom of lean condition, usually from crap gas deposits in jets or could be from decayed fuel lines and not drawing fuel also possible that crank seals are shot. If it is an adjustable carb you can try opening up the HS needle. Find the adjustments and the HS is the one furthest from the engine. New carbs are dirt cheap on ebay for most trimmers. A check checked showed one for 30CC Deere trimmer $10 delivered direct from China

This discussion was on here not too long ago and for that particular weed eater, it turned out that the line being used was much too heavy for the unit. A lighter weight line solved his problems. If you have gone too a heavier line, you might want to go back to a lighter line. Otherwise the cruded up carb or a plugged exhaust screen are good places to start.

Run some Sea-foam through it, the orifices are built up with varnish, if it's adjustable just open it up until it runs right.
