Tool Challenge!

Hello,

Time for another one. What kind of a toll can bent them in one shot! These rods are the kind that masons use to string guide lines. They are pretty hard and both succumbed to a tool hitting them on two different occasions?
If you guys and gals guess this one I'll probably fall of my chair!

skid steer or some other extreme heavy weight power tool(tractor, excavator, dozer, truck, pile driver....) 'Not sure what else would be big enough to bend two at once.

I'll chime in and say someone dropped a trowel on them from a higher level. If not that, how about a block dropped on the string between them.

Hello Cory Schmidt,

They got bent one at the time at the same location,

Guido.

ok so you're saying that one got bent and replaced then the second one got bent the same way. The curve looks like a wheel hit it that's what I was thinking.

Hello,

Here is a picture of the location. I now have just a piece of PVC pipe. That is the property line. I marked it so that the township's brush clam bucket would not hit it when they collected brushes and leaves . Both pins were painted and sticking out at least 8 in out of the ground. The straight part was in the ground, the rest just got BENT!

Hello Cory,

YEAP! One got it, I replaced it and the second one got hit. They look like twins don't they?

Guido.

Hello Cory,

You got the power tool right. None of them are the ones you mentioned though,

Guido.

Hello

The county mower/brush hog was the culprit. I don't know what drives those blades, more like truck springs, but I have seen the machine hit the storm drain, and never miss a lick!
