gas tank sending unit gasket sealer

I need to install a new gasket on my gas tank sending unit. What is a good sealer that gas won't hurt ? Thanks

What tractor?

The Ford **1 series tractors use a square cut O ring with no sealant.

Sorry, I thought that I was on the Ford forum where most would recognize my shorthand as referring to the Ford 6/7/8/9, 5/6/7/8/9 series of tractors, e.g., 861, etc.

These tractors used a square cut O ring without any sealant to seal the fuel sending unit.

Thinking that I was on the Ford forum, I made an invalid assumption.
