drill part

hello, happy 4th..i am looking for electric drill part for a craftsman drill. the part # 9-72706.. it is the gear part. someone may have the drill with a good gear but the motor etc may be bad. just the gear assembly is what I need thanks

Is it still available from Sears?
If not, I was able to find a switch for mine by 'google'ing the part number. It also changed part numbers which showed up during my search and gave me more options to look for.

searspartsdirect and ereplacementparts both list it as no longer available. Treat yourself to a new drill!

You should list the model of the drill and description. As an example 1/2" aluminum case, I give this example because those big old pig "D" handle drills are probably the only Craftsman drills worth throwing a lot of money at. I don't think many people will look up the part numbers for the drill they have to see if it matches the one you gave. Just trying to help. Good luck!

thanks for the reply.. it is a craftsman reversible 1/2 hp.electric model#315-101280.. has not been used all that, just laying around, looks good but I guess I will not find the part.the part # is 9-72706-001
