Finally got around to putting the new air compressor pump on the tanks. NOTHING from the old pump setup fits or will work with the new compressor, of course. Got the new mounts pretty well made (after several false starts) and will be able to weld that together tomorrow. The outlet on the pump is on the opposite end of the old one. The pulley on the new pump is a couple of inches larger in diameter than the old one. It's a double pulley, the old one was single. So not only do I have to get a larger motor pulley, I gotta spend the money for a double pulley and then buy matched belts.......................................Shall I continue or do y'all get the jist of it................................(smile)

I suspect the pipework could be changed on this one, too. However the tanks have enough fittings on both ends I can leave it the way it is. Even if I reverse it, none of the fittings are the same. Still gotta redo everything. Lol!

I've been running a single belt motor pulley on a double belt compressor 20 years. One belt has worked good. As far as pulley size, it should be close enough for government work. It will run a little slower. You will never notice the difference

That is supposed to be that way, replacement parts are made to not fit,...thatta way they can sell more parts to make it fit or preferably sell ye a whole new machine.

I have a 1995 60 gall compressor with a cast iron 2 cyl pump.
I ran it out of oil and broke a conrod 2 years ago. I phoned the outfit i bought it from.
Sowwy bud, this model is discontinued and parts are no longer available.
I ended up buying a new compressor,...was cheaper than just a new pump that wasn't gonna fit without modification anyway.
