Update on Partner concrete saw

The carburettor kit arrived and I fitted it today . Typically for an Australian I had looked at the carb and thought '' She'll be right mate '' . Didn't notice the nest of corrosion next to the fuel inlet . Cleaned this , went through the rest of the carb like a dose of salts and fitted the new kit .
Same problem  . Starting to think that the crank seals may very well be the problem , in which case the saw may well be junked , a pity really , when I can get it to run by dribbling fuel into the inlet it fairly roars , develops lots of power and has a really satisfying bark .

If only you could get the crank seals and case
gaskets. Been a couple years since I did one,
but they were a very reasonable price at that
time here in the states. A VERY easy fix too,
takes less than an hour, cleaning the parts
takes the longest. Good luck

I'm not familiar with a pulse pipe Ian , what does it do ? and where might I find it ?
I will post some photos of the partly dismantled machine this evening .

Earlier chainsaws had a rubber tube that took crankcase compression to the fuel pump side of the carb. And from watching comments here and elsewhere they were prone to fail. If you've got this there will be a fuel feed line, maybe a fuel return (both to the tank area) and one coming from around the cylinder/crankcase area

The later Husqvanas have this internally in the adapter between carb and cylinder, so one less place to fail. Not sure how yours may be plumbed.
