Might welders

I'm thinking g about getting a might welder! What is a good less expensive might welder to get for small projects underwear 1/4 inch steel I have a good lincoln arc welder for that! I used might in the past but don't have 2 to 4000 to spend on one's like I used!

be careful around those MIG welders. I have been doing a lot of MIG welding for the last five months, and have gotten addicted to Argon gas. I have to go down to my shop pretty much every evening and weld for awhile.

Any of the 240 volt units will weld quarter-inch steel. The cheaper 240V welders will have short duty cycles, so if you're doing a big job you'll have to stop frequently to let the welder cool down. If you're just doing small repairs you'll never notice the duty cycle. Stick with a name brand (Lincoln/Miller/Hobart) so you can get parts.
