Its a fairly tight fit with no rust or dirt they just get stuck on there from rust and dirt. If you are replacing it then pry around and get a little rough if needed, I've broke and cut them out before. Its called a TR > trans range sensor or also called MLP > manual lever position sensor but who knows what the local auto parts stores want to call them.

There is a fine line in the bushing and the housing of the sensor that line up when in the neutral position, use this position to remove and install the sensor if you don't have the special tool/key.

I have the screws out and it seems kind of hard to turn by hand. It felt like it was hard to shift since I got it and the screws for the cable lever would work loose regularly, till I used Loctite. This time one of the screws broke out of the ear on the shift tube. I'm trying to free everything up while I'm waiting for the new part. The cable and lever are free. Is the sensor supposed to be that stiff or does it need some LPS or WD?
