I have to repaint the back door of my garage. I know from previous experience with it that even after a full day of drying in the hot weather we're having, the paint on the door will stick to the jamb after it's been closed overnight. Sometimes in this situation I'm able to find a way to secure the door with it still open a couple of inches to give it more time to dry, but in this case there isn't a practical way to do that. Would it hurt the new or old paint for me to put Vaseline on the jamb? Would it keep the fresh paint from sticking? Is there another way, or a better way, to do this?
Thanks,
Stan
