computer slowdown

I clean the registry often. That used to clear up problems that slow my computer. But since I installed Dashlane, the slowdown is persistent. It seems like dashlane wants to require Google Chrome, which clashes with my antivirus software. I always delete it when I find it in the system. But it keeps coming back. Has anybody found a way to speed up their system with these items in use?

I think you've answered your own question; you are running incompatible software.
Dashlane is a native Google program. Chrome is the Google browser.
One possibility would be to find a compatible antivirus program and run Google Chrome.
Another possibility would be to look in the Google Q&A section - you are probably not the first person to run into this problem.

Thanks, Steve. You are probably right, but I've gotten used to my old favorites (AVG and Firefox). I didn't know Dashlane was a Google baby. I have contacted the Dashlane support and tried what they suggested. It provided temporary relief but then went back to its old ways. It's like reloading the software over and over.

I tried Dashlane nothing but trouble, uninstalled it no more problems. If you need a password program try Whisper 32 been using it for years.
